STRONGER TOGETHER: NEW PARTNER THOMAS STEINER JOINS LAUX LAWYERS AG
LAUX LAWYERS AG is delighted to welcome Thomas Steiner as a Partner of the firm. As of today, the 40-year-old strengthens the firm in data protection and data law and expands our expertise to include the important area of antitrust and competition law. He shares our enthusiasm for technology and passion for moving projects at the interface of digitalisation and law. Together, we can ensure that LAUX LAWYERS AG will be even better equipped to meet the needs of its clients in the future.
Thomas earned his LL.M. in Law & Technology from Berkeley Law School in 2014. Like all lawyers at LAUX LAWYERS AG, the father of two has gained experience in the in-house world and has adopted the mindset of outside inside counsel. As former legal counsel at a major Swiss bank, he brings the in-house experience that is of outstanding importance in our daily practice.
Before joining LAUX LAWYERS AG, Thomas worked for several years for renowned law firms in Zurich and (as Visiting Foreign Associate) in Washington, D.C. Originally from Central Switzerland, he was a Research Assistant at the University of Lucerne and at Berkeley Law School in California.
Thomas is well connected in the data protection community, both in Switzerland and internationally. As a member of the Expert Commission on Data Protection Law of the Swiss Bar Association as well as an author and speaker, he is involved in shaping data protection law and policy in Switzerland.
His extensive specialist knowledge and international experience make Thomas the ideal Partner for our boutique law firm for data and technology law. LAUX LAWYERS AG looks forward to working together with him.
