Legal Opinion Swiss Banking Secrecy and Cloud Computing

The Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) has published a “Cloud Guide for Secure Cloud Banking”. The SBA has carried out an assessment of the legal issues arising in this context and has considered the results in the Guidelines. On invitation of SBA Laux Lawyers AG and one other law firm took part in the discussion with expert opinions on Swiss banking secrecy. Our law firm, like the SBA, has come to the conclusion that banks are basically free to use clouds, and also cloud services from providers abroad.
