BOOST FOR LAUX LAWYERS AG: DANIEL HUERLIMANN ON BOARD

We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr Daniel Huerlimann as a lawyer at LAUX LAWYERS AG. The 35-year-old Assistant Professor at the University of St.Gallen complements our team with his expertise in IT and intellectual property law. Moreover, his passion for legal tech is an enrichment for our firm – and a gain for our clients.

Daniel Huerlimann is by no means unknown in the legal profession. The passionate lawyer and techie from Bern has been attracting attention for years with numerous publications. He is passing on his comprehensive knowledge through his teaching of information law at the University of St.Gallen. In particular, his research focuses on legal tech, which further strengthens our firm in this area.

A father of two, he graduated from the University of Bern in 2012. At the same time, he graduated from the Judicial Academy in Lucerne and was admitted to the bar in the Canton of Bern in the following year. The enthusiastic IT lawyer then worked as a postdoc at the University of Lucerne, and as Managing Director of the Center for Information Technology, Society, and Law (ITSL) at the University of Zurich. This was followed in 2016 by an assistant professorship at the University of St.Gallen.

In addition to his academic activities, Daniel Huerlimann deals with legal informatics and Open Access in law. He advocates digital access to court decisions (www.entscheidsuche.ch) as well as due process in the ‘Unser Recht’ association. These commitments have provided him with an excellent national and international network.

LAUX LAWYERS AG looks forward to a successful cooperation and extends a warm welcome to Daniel Huerlimann.
